Forgive the self righteous friend who went ahead to chase her, despite knowing full well that I liked her when I introduced her.
Rebuild and maintain my lapsed emotional discipline, and continue to be her intellectual whore very close friend, despite my wanting to cut off the 10 year friendship. Seeing her tear just melts my heart.

dude, whenever i feel the whole world has gone crazy on me. I would hide at my den and talk to my cat. He will just sit on my lap looking at me rant. Sometimes answering with a 'meow'. At times rubbing his head against my chest in agreement. Pet helps de-stress and maintain your sanity. But do remember it's a lifetime commitment.
